This pump spring enables the pump piston and the handle to return to the top of the pump stroke.

When a pump spring becomes weak, this can be identified by the handle failing to return to the fully upright position. In some cases, the pump spring can fracture too.

The pump spring is important in enabling the safe use of the truck, and the correct functionality.
